Postcards of the Past

Selwyn College, Cambridge

Selwyn College was founded in 1882, and named after George Selwyn, the first Bishop of New Zealand and later Bishop of Lichfield. Six acres of farm land were bought from Corpus Christi College and now house the college buildings.  In common with the other Cambridge Colleges, Selwyn only admitted men, but was one of the first to admit women, in 1976.

Famous Alumni include Clive Anderson, John Gummer, Hugh Laurie, Malcolm Muggeridge and John Sentamu.

In conjunction with Zazzle, we have produced an extensive range of gifts, using images from these old postcards. The items available include many reproduction postcards, coffee mugs, Christmas cards, birthday cards, key chains, fridge magnets, watches etc. Most items may be personalised.
