Postcards of the Past

Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk

Bury St Edmunds is an historic market town and civil parish in Suffolk, England. Bury St Edmunds Abbey is close to the town centre. Bury's largest landmark is the British Sugar factory - built in 1925 - near the A14, which processes sugar beet into refined crystal sugar. The town is also known for brewing, with the country's largest British-owned brewery, Greene King, in the town, as is the smaller Old Cannon Brewery.
