Postcards of the Past

Coventry, Warwickshire

Coventry is a city in England. It lies on the River Sherbourne, which remains largely hidden by the modern city. The present Coventry Cathedral was built after most of the 14th century cathedral was destroyed by the Luftwaffe in the Coventry Blitz of 14 November 1940 - as was much of the city centre, which has also been rebuilt. The city's population (2020) is about 370,000.
